Chris May

Sports Performance Coach and Director of Sports Performance at Saddlebrook International Sports, with over a decade of experience training elite-level athletes across multiple sports.

Born and raised in Jupiter, Florida, Chris was a three-sport athlete at William T. Dwyer High School and went on to play Division I football at Eastern Michigan University, where he was a four-year starting safety. After graduating with a degree in Exercise Science, he played professionally in Europe with the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes of the German Football League.

Following his playing career, Chris transitioned into performance coaching to stay connected to the game and apply his academic background to developing athletes. He began at Saddlebrook with an internship that quickly evolved into a long-term passion. Since then, Chris has worked with athletes across the ATP/WTA, MLB, NFL, and NHL, as well as high-level juniors and academy players in tennis and golf.

In 2012, Chris joined the Performance Compound in Tampa, where he directed MLB off-season training programs amongst other responsibilities. He returned to Saddlebrook in 2015 and currently leads all aspects of sports performance programming—overseeing athlete development for Saddlebrook’s Golf and Tennis Academies, professional athlete off-season training, youth development, and adult fitness initiatives.
